Today, 15 May, is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day.

We’re proud to stand alongside so many incredible charities and organisations working to support people living with spinal cord injuries across the UK.

Together, we help people rebuild confidence, regain independence, reconnect with community, return to sport and work, and navigate life after injury.

For people living with tetraplegia, the most severe form of spinal cord injury, the impact can affect both arms and legs, breathing, independence, and many everyday tasks most people never have to think about. Many people require ongoing support from carers, specialist equipment, rehabilitation and accessible environments simply to live day to day.

But with the right support, opportunity and community, people can continue to live full, ambitious and exciting lives.

Today is about awareness, but also understanding, accessibility, inclusion and action.

This day is a reminder that life after spinal cord injury does not stop. It looks different.
