DAY TWO COAST TO COAST RECAP ‼️

Another 25 miles completed in around 8 hours 🔥

A wetter, tougher day on the terrain, but Danny absolutely smashec it! The XT4’s battery called it a day just short of our planned finish, but the vibes are still high and the team is going strong.

One final leg to go tomorrow... let's finish this! 🚀

If you haven't done so already please make sure to donate towards our £100k goal.

🚨 TODAY’S THE DAY 🚨

This morning, Glasgow-born Danny, a tetraplegic former Army veteran, sets off from Fort William on a 79-mile Coast-to-Coast challenge to Inverness.

He’ll be making the journey in his chin-controlled off-road wheelchair.

79 miles / 125km
Fort William to Inverness.
Three days.
One wheelchair controlled by his chin.

And Danny is doing it to raise £100,000 for Regain through JustGiving, helping support people who have sustained serious injuries through sport or recreation.

Over the next three days, we’ll be sharing Danny’s journey as it happens — the distance, the terrain, the good days, the difficult moments and everything in between.

No shortcuts. No easy route.

Just 79 miles across the Scottish Highlands.

Today, it begins.

Follow Danny’s journey, share the story and help us get behind his £100,000 target.

Let’s go, Danny. 👊

In a week or so, Danny will begin an extraordinary challenge.

Danny is a former soldier and Iraq veteran. In 2019, his life changed completely after a motorcycle accident left him c3/c4 tetraplegic and paralysed from the neck down. Danny lives with severe 24/7 neurological pain.

Now he is preparing to cross Scotland Coast to Coast, covering 79 miles in an off-road wheelchair CONTROLLED ENTIRELY WITH HIS CHIN!! (Imagine feeling all the bumps on the road in your brain!)

It is difficult to overstate how challenging this will be. Physically, mentally and logistically, every mile will demand huge determination, resilience and support from the team around him.

And he is doing it for an important reason: to raise £100,000 for Regain, helping other people living with tetraplegia access equipment, support and opportunities that can make a real difference to their independence and quality of life.

If you are able to contribute, even a small donation would mean so much. And if you cannot donate, please share his story and help this challenge reach more people!

♿ World Spinal Cord Injury Day 💚

Days like today are part of the reason I’m throwing myself into this challenge.
A spinal cord injury changes almost everything — but it doesn’t have to take away who you are, your ambitions, or your place in the world.

If dragging myself across the Highlands, controlled entirely by my chin, helps even one person with a spinal injury believe there’s still a life out there to be lived — then every painful mile will be worth it.

And a massive thank you from me, the whole team behind me, and everyone at ReGAIN. ❤️

To everyone who’s donated, shared, posted, liked, told a pal, spread the word — or even spread a rumour 😂 — thank you. It genuinely means more than you know.
