‘In Amy’s memory, we work to inspire children and young people to build their self-esteem and resilience, so that they can flourish.’
www.amywinehousefoundation.org Our work is inspired by Amy’s spirit, her love of children and the challenges that she faced in her own life. With your support, the Amy Winehouse Foundation helps thousands of young people to feel supported and informed so that they a

re better able to manage their emotional wellbeing and make informed choices around things that can affect their lives. We do this through a range of initiatives and programmes, which include;

The Resilience Programme for Schools, a groundbreaking drug & alcohol awareness and prevention programme for secondary schools;

Amy’s Place, which helps women leaving treatment for addictions to reintegrate into society with the best possible opportunity of sustaining their recovery and building a fulfilling life. We also work with partners in UK and overseas to provide Music Therapy for Children, helping those with life-limiting conditions, disabilities or trauma address important developmental needs through music. This work transforms young people’s lives and pays tribute to Amy’s remarkable life, talent and beautiful spirit.

This week is and this year’s theme is ‘action’, which means taking practical, everyday steps to support good mental health.
Our Resilience Programme puts this into practice by working with young people to help them identify underlying issues around poor mental health and supporting them to develop and better coping strategies to deal with the pressures they face. Pictured are some of the work sheets from this week’s workshops with yrs 12&13 Health & Social students at The City of Liverpool College. Thank you for having us along. Always a pleasure to work with your amazing students! 🙏🏼

Always a pleasure to be invited back to Wade Deacon High School. Katie from our Resilience Programme team has been working with this school every year for the last 11 yrs! This week she met with yr 8 as part of their drop down day. Topics included the importance of reaching out and getting support when faced with challenges and building positive coping strategies. As always students at Wade Deacon were exceptionally engaged and respectful. Thank you for having us 🙏🏼

Brandles School works with pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and as well as teaching the curriculum, they also prepare them for life beyond the school. This week we have enjoyed meeting pupils from years 7 to 11 in Resilience workshops, where topics have included self-esteem, fitting-in, and potential consequences of using drugs or alcohol to change the way you feel. We were very impressed with the participants from all age groups and look forward to our next sessions.

A big thank you to Harlow Youth Council for inviting us to work alongside their Youth Councillors. It was a privilege to support such thoughtful and engaged young people in exploring the realities of addiction and va**ng.
Seeing young people lead on issues that directly impact their generation is inspiring.

Last night’s Full Council meeting was a great opportunity to welcome some fantastic guests.

Thank you to Joe from The Amy Winehouse Foundation forr speaking to our Youth Councillors about addiction and va**ng—an important discussion that directly supports the va**ng report they are currently developing as part of their Health & Wellbeing priority.

We also thank Sim and Sarah from Bishop’s Stortford Town Council for joining us and contributing to the discussion.

Good Morning from Betty! She’s one of the emotional support dogs at the amazing Woolston Brook in Warrington, a specialist school for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This week, in our Resilience Programme workshops with yrs 8 and 9, conversations have focused on self esteem, peer pressure and risk-taking behaviours, including drug and alcohol use. And Betty - she was just there for the cuddles, and to give comfort to anyone who needed it ❤️

The laurel wreath - a symbol of triumph. It’s the instantly recognisable logo of our amazing partners Fred Perry but also a symbol of triumph over adversity for many of the people we work with.

Huge thanks to Fred Perry for your continued support not only through our clothing range, but also for providing training spaces for our programme.

Because of your generosity, our new volunteers have a welcoming environment to learn and prepare to support young people in meaningful ways.

Thank you to our new volunteers. Your lived experience is powerful, and with training, it becomes a force for positive change.

Huge thanks to First Give and Saracens High School for inviting us along to be part of their event inspiring young people to create social change. Students were given a platform to meet charities representing issues that they are most passionate about. This highlighted many of the important challenges affecting young people today and empowered them to think critically about how they can be part of the solution.

The students were brilliant. They engaged thoughtfully, asked challenging questions, and showed genuine compassion. It was also great to share the day with and who do such important work in their communities.
