📚 A new school year means new goals – and Castlemilk High School’s SCQF Ambassadors have already set theirs.

They went from bronze to silver SCQF status in just a few months through our School Ambassador Programme. 👏

They’ve been helping their fellow pupils and parents and carers understand the different qualifications and pathways available at the Glasgow City Council school.

Now, as a new term gets underway, they’re setting their sights on gold. 🥇

🏊 A new qualification is making waves!

The STA Swimming Teacher Qualification is now part of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF), helping learners and employers better understand the value and level of the qualification.

🌟 As Week comes to a close, one thing is clear: there's no single route to success.

This week, we've shared the career journeys of our colleagues, each proving that the path from school to the workplace is rarely a straight line.

Today, meet Paul and Lynda.

Paul's plans changed before he even started university, while Lynda turned a passion for journalism into a rewarding career before bringing those skills to the SCQF Partnership. Their stories are a reminder that changing direction, embracing new opportunities and building on your experiences can lead to places you never imagined.

🌟 Results day may be over, but your learning journey is lifelong.

For Week, we're sharing the stories of SCQF Partnership colleagues Fiona and Kamila, whose careers show that there's more than one route to success.

Fiona's story highlights the power of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which allowed her to use credits she'd already achieved towards completing her degree. Kamila's journey reminds us that the choices we make at school can open doors we never imagined – even if our plans change along the way.

Whether you're heading to college, university, work or taking time to decide what's next, remember that learning happens in many different ways, and every experience has value.

📚 Results day has passed — but you might still have questions about qualifications.

You might be wondering how today’s qualifications compare with the ones you remember — from O-Grades and Standard Grades to today’s National Qualifications and beyond.

While the names may have changed over the years, the learning and achievements behind qualifications continue to be recognised and valued.

The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) helps you understand how qualifications from different generations compare, making it easier to see the value of learning at every stage.

🌟 Results day was yesterday — but every learner’s journey continues beyond a set of results.

For Week, we’re sharing the stories of SCQF Partnership team members Caitlin and Callum, whose routes into their careers took different turns along the way.

Their journeys are a reminder that there isn’t one 'right' way to achieve your goals. Whether you change direction, take a different route, or discover new opportunities along the way, every experience helps you learn and grow.
