🎬 OK, so we're a little late (it is the summer holidays after all..!), but we just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who came along to 'The Story Collector: Our Family, Our Character' at the start of the month.🤩 We had a super time meeting you all and delighting in your family's creations - what imaginations! We were also very excited to give the audience a little advance screening of our brand new concert film. (Watch this space for more information on this...coming very soon!).

🎶 The countdown's well and truly on for this weekend's 'The Story Collector: Our Family, Our Character'. This family event on Saturday 1st August is free but please book tickets in advance to secure your spot. Places are going fast, so grab yours before we sell out.

🎶 We're delighted to be part of the Glasgow 2026 Festival! It's running until the end of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and there's a whole host of fun activities to get involved in. We're hosting a free event for your whole family at The Boardwalk in Glasgow's Merchant City on the 1 August. 🤩 We'll be in Glasgow on Saturday 1 August as part of the Glasgow Festival with our brilliant free event ‘The Story Collector: Our Family, Our Character’. Join CCC’s fantastic musicians and The Village Storytelling Centre at The Boardwalk for this lively interactive experience for your whole family. To get your creative juices flowing, we’ll start each session with a screening of our brand-new concert film ‘How the Seasons Came to Be’. You will then be invited to join in with activities so you can begin to create your very own character: imagine how they look, what sounds might they make, how do they feel, what would happen if the different characters met? Let’s spark your imagination and inspire your creativity – who knows what magic you can invent together!

🧐 If you've been to one of our concerts, you may have noticed some of the CCC team hovering around afterwards asking for feedback! Firstly, we just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has chatted to us at the concerts, or taken the time to complete our post-concert surveys - your feedback is vital for us to continue doing what we do. Secondly, one of the reasons we collect feedback is so we can gauge what went well, what we can improve, where our audience has come from, etc. There are many things we're interested in knowing! 🌏 The 1st of July marks the beginning of Plastic Free July. This is a global movement that encourages people to refuse single use plastics and reduce overall plastic waste. By taking small, everyday actions – like using reusable coffee cups, swapping to bar soaps, or bringing tote bags when shopping - participants build habits that often last all year long and even beyond.

In our recent concert, Junkyard Jam, we asked children what their wishes are for nature and lots commented about how we should reduce our waste and recycle what we can. It was amazing, and really inspiring, to see the children so engaged in protecting nature and our planet.🤩

And of course, remember you can always recycle your junk and transform it into some rather funky garbage band instruments...!🎶

🤩 It's been a busy few months for us at CCC. From concerts and workshops to filming, there's certainly been lots of musical activity happening! Enjoy some highlights from our concerts from the year so far...we've been into space, performed some explosive scientific experiments, delighted in magic tricks and had a samba-tastic time with some junk!
