🤩 And that's a wrap for our rather busy May! It's been a fantastically music-filled month with two different concerts, various school workshops, filming of our new concert film and some very exciting behind-the-scenes work at CCC HQ (all will be revealed soon!). 🫣 We have a pile of junk that needs seen to (although I'm sure Owen and the garbage band could put some of those items to good use!). If you're coming along to Perth or Banchory this weekend please stop by, grab a pen and a post-it, and help us cover it with your wishes for nature. You could suggest a way to protect the planet, or tell us your wish for nature? Or perhaps write down what you love most about the outdoors? Maybe you could share what you or your school do to help the environment?

Don't think that if you come to one of our concerts you'll get an hour to relax while the children are entertained...oh no, you'll be getting involved too! From audience dance offs to flying insects investigating the crowd, our concerts are interactive and jam-packed full of fun! And if you're joining us this weekend and have some budding young musicians with you, they may well be invited on stage for a jam with the garbage band...

🤩 Those of you who came to St Andrews recently may have noticed an array of unusual percussion "instruments"... This is probably our more creatively instrumented concert yet - we've even thrown the kitchen sink at it!😂 We just wanted to give a shout out to Fully Fitted Kitchens Scotland for furnishing us with plenty of bits and pieces which we've transformed for Junkyard Jam. Are you intrigued to see what our garbage band can do with all of this? Join us this weekend in Perth or Banchory to find out!

🎪 We're extremely excited to be bringing the fantastic 'Big Top Brass' to Haddington and Giffnock this weekend! Real life magic AND music - you can't get much better than that! Giffnock is sold out, but there are a few (literally five at the time of this post!) tickets left for Haddington if someone would like to snap them up?!

🤩 That's our first concert of the month done! Thank you to everyone who came along to St Andrews yesterday for Junkyard Jam. As you can see from the photos, the musicians had A LOT of fun! If you're looking for some entertainment for them (and if you're looking to find a use for all that recycling that's been piling up!) then check out our Junk Trunk activity pack. This offers some fun and easy ways to make your very own percussion instruments.
