We are pleased to have been commissioned to deliver an independent advocacy service in Renfrewshire for people affected by decisions involving health and social care.

The service is free, confidential and independent of social work, NHS and other agencies. It will help people have their voices heard, giving them greater choice and more control over decisions that affect their lives.

As we take over the service, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and a continuation of support for people who are currently using it.

Another year, another Help Yourself Grow graduation - and what a brilliant one it was! 🌱

Our Connect Team worked alongside Fair Deal to carry out independent evaluations of the Help Yourself Groww gardening and cooking programme, supporting trainees to share their views in ways that worked for them.

Louise and Katerina were there on the day, capturing the graduation through visual recording. Visual communication makes information more accessible and engaging for everyone, and having the event recorded this way meant all participants at the graduation could fully take part in celebrating what they'd achieved.

There are lots of different ways we support people to express their views and what matters to them.

Below are some examples of approaches our Connect Team have used recently including LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, poster making and activities with peers to boost confidence.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 💜

Mental health affects every part of our lives: it shapes how we feel, how we connect with others, and how we find the confidence to speak up for ourselves. That's why looking after ourselves, even in small ways, is an act of self-empowerment.

🤩We've just wrapped up two incredible empowerment sessions at The Women's Centre Glasgow, and we were so delighted to see the feedback too: 100% satisfaction from participants, with some returning for more.

📢These sessions are all about building confidence, connection and community, but also increasing awareness of our rights and knowledge of other supports.
