We’re lucky to have Lisa McCune as part of the RCD Foundation family.
A long-time Ambassador and supporter, Lisa has helped us raise awareness, connect with new audiences and champion better outcomes for kids with brain cancer.

As Lisa puts it:

“Being an RCD Ambassador gives me a fantastic sense of what community truly looks like. By being involved, we are all part of a bigger story that’s making a difference to young lives... and we have fun doing it together.”

Thank you, Lisa 💛

This matching campaign is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Dawes family and Mister Zimi.

Mister Zimi's connection to the RCD Foundation is deeply personal. In 2017, longtime Mister Zimi customer Sara Chivers received the devastating news that her brain cancer had returned after eight years in remission. Soon after, her 18-month-old son Alfie was also diagnosed with an aggressive and unrelated brain tumour. Tragically, both Sara and Alfie lost their lives to brain cancer in 2018.

Moved by their story, the team at Mister Zimi committed to helping change the odds for other families facing brain cancer. Since then, they have raised more than $400,000 in memory of Sara and Alfie and, together with the Chivers family, helped fund the Alfie Chivers Project at Hudson Institute of Medical Research.

Today, their generosity continues to make a difference, helping fund vital research and support programs for children and families facing brain cancer.

We’re proud to share this video from the CERN Foundation, Collaborative Ependymoma Research Network 2026 Ependymoma Awareness Day program, featuring our Head of Research, Dr Kim Wark.

For many years, the RCD Foundation has supported the CERN Foundation Fellowship, helping advance research and collaboration for children and young people affected by ependymoma.

As CERN celebrates its 20th anniversary, this special program shines a light on the patients, families, survivors, researchers and clinicians working together to improve outcomes and drive progress.

Thank you to the CERN Foundation for your longstanding partnership and commitment to the ependymoma community. We’re proud to be part of this important work.

"At Connor's Run, I feel seen."

Diagnosed with brain cancer when she was just two years old, Emily O'Connor knows firsthand the challenges that come with treatment and life beyond it.

But through Connor's Run, Emily found something incredibly powerful: a community where she feels understood, supported, and connected.

Today, she's passionate about helping other young people affected by brain cancer feel less alone and raising awareness for the cause close to her heart.

Read Emily's story and discover why Connor's Run is more than just an event. Link in our bio // connorsrun.com/blog

Double Your Impact! 💥

All Connor's Run donations (up to $50,000) are being matched now, thanks to some very generous donors: Mister Zimi, the Dawes family and an anonymous donor.

That means every dollar you give today goes twice as far in supporting children and families affected by brain cancer.
