In this short documentary, Rosa Soares, a Water Facility Chief and community leader, shares how climate change is impacting her village, the challenges families face without reliable water, and how local people are working together with WaterAid to restore access to clean water. Her story highlights the powerful role women play in building community resilience, health and wellbeing.

All the bad guys hate to see clean water coming for them.

Access to clean water comes out on top against many of the issues that communities are facing, from risk of disease, to gender inequality, and the effects of climate change.

We work with communities to provide clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene as a knockout punch for big challenges.

10 years after installing a water system in this rural village in Papua New Guinea, we went searching for Leonie and Madison to see how having clean water close to home has changed their lives.

"We feel life is much easier now. We have water, we use it for washing, drinking, cooking. It makes our life much easier than before" - Leonie.
