Worcester DeMolay DeMolay is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing young men (12-20) to be leaders. All activities are guided by the interests of the local chapter.

DeMolay is a youth-led, adult-advised organization in which young men ages 12 to 21 learn leadership skills by planning, organizing, and facilitating their own programs. DeMolays take part in a wide-range of activities, from athletic competitions to public speaking tournaments and community service events. If you can dream it, you can do it in DeMolay.

The faces may have changed in the last 100 years, but Worcester DeMolay has always been about friendships, experiences, service and leadership - and the people who make our Chapter a community.

You don't need to know anything about DeMolay before you come to our Open House. And there's no expectation that you'll walk through the door ready to sign up.

Come together. Meet our members and adult advisors. Look around. Ask us questions — lots of them.

Most importantly, let your son see for himself whether this feels like a place he'd enjoy being.

Worcester DeMolay has been part of our community since 1923.

Over the past 100 years, our members have gone on to serve in leadership roles across Massachusetts — and in 2025–26, a Worcester member served as International Congress Secretary, representing DeMolay on an international level.

But we're most proud of what happens before all of that: young men finding their place, making friends, gaining confidence and discovering what they're capable of.

So...what exactly IS DeMolay?

It's a youth organization for young men ages 12–21 — but that doesn't really tell the whole story.

It's a place to make friends outside of school. To plan events, take trips, volunteer, learn to speak in front of a room, take on responsibility — and sometimes just have fun.

Along the way, members develop confidence, independence and skills they'll carry with them long after DeMolay.
