Join us at 807 Main St. in Worcester, MA at 2:00 PM for a fun, family-friendly afternoon to kick off the new school year. Senior Connection’s Barber Connect and Benefits Enrollment Center programs will be on-site, offering free haircuts and benefits enrollment assistance.

Thank you, First Literacy, Inc.! Senior Connection is grateful for your generous $4,500 grant supporting Connected Caregivers: Digital Literacy for Grandfamilies.

This funding will expand digital literacy training through Senior Connection's Computer Learning Lab and Grandparents Raising Grandkids Resource Center, helping grandparents and other kinship caregivers build the technology skills they need to access healthcare, education, employment resources, and stay connected with the children they are raising. “This initiative will empower caregivers to become proficient digital navigators, directly improving the long-term educational and social stability of the families they lead”, explains Moses Dixon, CEO of Senior Connection.

What a wonderful afternoon of community, care, and connection!
Yesterday, Senior Connection partnered with the Worcester Public Library and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to help families and older adults prepare for the new school year while supporting healthy aging.

Throughout the afternoon, children received free backpacks filled with school supplies, older adults and their families enjoyed free haircuts and trims aboard the Barber Connect Bus, and faculty and students from MCPHS provided complimentary vision screenings on the Care Express Bus.

A heartfelt thank you to to Raising Cane's for sponsoring the event, and to everyone who attended, volunteered, and partnered with us to make this event such a success.

Senior Connection is grateful to N. Paul TonThat, Executive Director of Worcester Community Housing Resources for his partnership with Senior Connection in the development of the Grandfamily Village of Worcester at 264 Stafford Street in Worcester.

The residential community is designed to support grandparents and other relatives raising children. Construction is scheduled to begin in Summer/Fall 2027.

Free vision screenings and haircuts are coming to Worcester! Join Senior Connection's Care Express Bus at the Worcester Public Library on August 6 from 1:00–4:00 p.m. for an afternoon of free services for older adults (55+) and their relatives, including grandparents raising grandchildren.

Faculty and students from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences will provide free vision screenings, while Barber Connect will offer free haircuts and trims.

Plus, don't miss the Backpack Giveaway in the WPL Banx Room beginning at 2:00 p.m.
