United Way of Central Massachusetts

For more than a century, United Way has believed in the power of people coming together to create change. 💙

On October 16, 1887, an idea took root: bring people and resources together to address the needs of the community.

Today, that idea continues.

Here in Central Massachusetts, we bring together neighbors, nonprofits, businesses, volunteers, and supporters to tackle challenges, create opportunities, and help our communities thrive.

The needs have changed. The work has evolved. But one thing remains the same: we accomplish more when we work together.

Because when it comes to building a stronger community, United is the Way.

Everyone deserves access to nutritious food.

This World Food Day, we recognize the local organizations, volunteers, donors, and community partners working every day to address food insecurity across Central Massachusetts.

From food pantries and community meals to programs connecting families with the resources they need, tackling hunger takes all of us.

Together, we can help build a community where every neighbor has the opportunity to thrive.

🏃‍♀️ 13.1 MILES. ONE INCREDIBLE COMMUNITY. 💙

The Mass Half, powered by M&T Bank, is more than a half marathon. It's an opportunity to bring runners, supporters, and neighbors together for something bigger than the finish line.

On April 4, 2027, we're taking to the streets of Worcester to celebrate community, connection, and the power of showing up for one another.

Whether you're chasing a personal best or taking on your first half marathon, every mile has meaning.

Run for a cause. Rally for community. Give meaning to miles.

Today, on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the histories, cultures, contributions, and resilience of Indigenous peoples: past, present, and future.

Here in Central Massachusetts, we recognize the Nipmuc people, whose ancestral homelands include Worcester and communities throughout our region.

As we work to build stronger and more connected communities, we recognize the importance of understanding the history of the land we call home, honoring the Indigenous communities who have stewarded it for generations, and celebrating those who continue to carry their cultures, traditions, and communities forward today.
