We have been receiving calls and inquiries from reporters and media outlets wanting to learn more about what we are bringing to Worcester, and with so much interest, we felt it was important to issue an official press release and share the full story with our community.

Presented by LABO, Juntos We Are America, and Casa Borikén of Worcester, Somos Boricuas is much more than a music festival. It is an educational and cultural experience celebrating our Boricua/Puerto Rican history, culture, music, art, traditions, businesses, artists, entrepreneurs, families and community.

We are taking attendees on a cultural journey, from our Taíno roots and the history of Borikén to the music, traditions, people and contributions that have shaped Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rican community today.

❤️🇵🇷 CELEBRATING OUR CULTURE WHILE HELPING OUR PEOPLE

As part of Somos Boricuas Festival, Kind Hearts of Southbridge is partnering with LABO and Casa Borikén of Worcester to support Puerto Rico relief efforts.

We are asking our community to help by donating:

💧 Cases of bottled water
💧 Water filters
❤️ Monetary donations

Donations of water and water filters will be accepted at Worcester Common on Sunday, August 16, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

If you are unable to bring your donation to the festival, water and water-filter donations can also be dropped off after the event at the LABO office, 33 Highland Street, Worcester, MA. For additional information, call 508-373-2042.

Throughout the festival, we will also provide additional information and resources on how individuals, families, businesses and organizations can continue helping the island of Puerto Rico and supporting communities in need. 🇵🇷❤️

Information regarding monetary donations and continued Puerto Rico relief efforts will also be available at the festival and through LABO.

Los WooSox y la Fundación Roberto Clemente, en colaboración con LABO, estarán ofreciendo una clínica gratuita de béisbol como parte de las actividades del partido WooSox Wepa, donde celebraremos la cultura puertorriqueña y honraremos el legado de Roberto Clemente.

La clínica se llevará a cabo en la mañana, y tendremos una visita especial de Luis Clemente, hijo de Roberto Clemente. Además, durante el partido, Luis estará firmando pelotas de béisbol en el restaurante.

⚾ Todos los niños que participen en la clínica recibirán una entrada gratuita para asistir al partido.
