The Melkite Church is one of the Eastern Catholic Churches in communion with the Roman Catholic Church. Founded in 1923, we are a welcoming and cozy parish that invites all people to our church, Byzantines and non-Byzantines, Melkites and non-Melkites, to come worship with us. A coffee hour is served after every Sunday liturgy when we enjoy fellowship with one another. To Melkites we say, 'Come home!' To Byzantines we say, 'Feel at home!' And to others we say, 'Make us your home!’

We're thrilled to welcome back Mitchell Kaltsunas & his Ensemble — a full band bringing the authentic sounds of our heritage to the church grounds. From 1:00–5:00 PM on September 13, they'll have the whole afternoon alive with music and dancing. 💃

There's nothing like live music under the tent, good food in hand, and neighbors all around. Come move with us.

Long before there was a picnic, there was a promise. 🌿

Our parish carries a faith that traces all the way back to Antioch — where the followers of Christ were first called "Christians." Immigrant families brought it to Worcester generations ago, and their children and grandchildren still gather on Hamilton Street today.

Once a year, we open our doors and set the table for the whole city. That's our Middle Eastern Picnic — Sunday, September 13, Noon–6 PM. Everyone is welcome. 🎟️ Free admission.
