It's Highlight Thursday!! 🎉
Today we're celebrating Rachael Shek! Rachael has been serving as an ELL Teacher with WARM since 2025 at our Friday class in Worcester. We are so grateful for the passion, energy, and care she brings to our community. Thank you for all you do, Rachael! 💚

🌎 Favorite part of volunteering with WARM?
"My favorite part of WARM is meeting so many amazing people and hearing their stories! We are all so different, and have such different backgrounds, but once we get to know each other, we aren’t so different after all. I also love seeing all the babies that come to class, so cute!"

🥋 Fun fact about you?
"I’ve been training jiu jitsu for 5 years, and I teach kids jiu jitsu."

🍣 Favorite comfort food?
"Sushi, or anything with cheese!"

Five years ago today, the fall of Kabul forced over 100,000 Afghans to leave their home behind. Since then, more than 1,000 Afghan families have resettled in Western and Central Massachusetts.

Today we reflect on that defining moment, honor the incredible resilience of our new neighbors, and continue our work to build a welcoming community for all.💚

We'll have plenty of chicken. Please bring a nice big side dish - salad, rice, or dessert to share (halal, no pork products please).

Put it on your calendar! This Sunday August 16th, 3-6 pm, WARM is hosting our annual Family Fun Day.
Why? Make friends, build joy, enjoy a meal together, and have FUN (volleyball, soccer, hoolahoops, sack races, tug-o-war, a playground, sandbox, and a bunch more!) We hope you can join us! WARM will provide chicken and beverages. Please bring a salad, rice, or dessert (halal/no pork please.)
