Two women who know the power of showing up for others. One evening to help that support reach further.

We’re honored to welcome Lisa Gardner as our MC and Marsha Valenzuela, CPC, as our guest speaker for the 10th Annual Bra-lloween®!

A Spokane native, Lisa serves as President of the NAACP Spokane Branch and Director of Communications and Community Engagement for the Spokane City Council. Her career spans public relations, multicultural marketing, small-business consulting, teaching at Whitworth University, and writing for local and regional publications. Recognized as one of Spokane’s People of Influence, she has championed minority- and women-owned businesses while bringing warmth, clarity, and compassion to her work.

Marsha’s story speaks to the possibility of rebuilding. After growing up in foster care and experiencing years of instability, she found a new foundation through recovery, parenting support, and community connection—and a calling to help other families find their way forward.

Now celebrating 25 years in recovery, Marsha has spent the past decade supporting parents through difficult moments. As a Family Navigator Peer with PEER Spokane, she brings honesty, warmth, and lived experience that help families feel understood and supported. Our partnership with PEER Spokane reflects a shared belief in dignity, compassion, and having someone in your corner.

Both women embody what drives Breast Intentions: helping women feel seen, valued, and supported. We’re grateful to have them guide an evening celebrating the strength, resilience, and joy of the women we serve.

Our work is powered by volunteers who believe that every woman deserves to feel comfortable, confident, and cared for. Through our ongoing relationship with Union Gospel Mission, we have the opportunity to bring that support directly to local women when they need it most.

Bring a friend, spend some time doing something meaningful, and get to know a wonderful cause making a difference right here in our community.

Recovery takes courage. Support takes a community willing to show up.

Union Gospel Mission Women’s Recovery in Coeur d’Alene provides women with a safe, supportive place to rebuild their lives through recovery, stability, and a path forward. We’re grateful to bring our bra fitting services directly to the women they serve.

On October 14, our volunteers will help create an experience centered on dignity, comfort, and personal care—making sure each woman leaves with bras that truly fit and the individual attention she deserves.

And we need volunteers to make it happen. Breast Intentions runs on the generosity of people who give their time. From fitting and inventory to setup, check-in, and keeping the event moving, every role helps us serve more women with care.

It’s a lively evening of familiar faces and new connections, conversations that turn into laughs, a little friendly competition, and plenty of reasons to stay awhile.

Come business casual or dress it up a little more—the night is yours to enjoy. Between the games, auctions, photo booth and DJ, there’s always something happening and someone new to meet.

Friends getting together. An annual tradition worth coming back for. A room full of laughter. Auction wins worth bragging about. A little friendly competition. And a community that knows having a great time and making a real impact can happen in the same room.

There’s something powerful about the quieter moments of this work.

At our most recent fitting event with Catholic Charities, we served women at Sisters’ Haven and Mother Teresa Haven. As women came in for personal fittings, children played outside, neighbors gathered, and the sun slowly set behind the trees.

The evening was calm and full of warmth, conversation, and genuine connection. Within each fitting, we made space for women to receive individual attention without feeling rushed—welcomed with privacy, professionalism, and dignity.

Our partnerships help us meet women where they are—in every sense.
