We look forward every year to the day the Spokane Colleges Women's Basketball team volunteers at Teen & Kid Closet.

Team members always impress us with their work ethic. They folded, sorted, straightened, and cleaned. We loved their hard work and energy, and our basement has never looked cleaner.

Thank you so much! Your help means we can keep providing new and gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories to the most vulnerable children in our area. You’ve made a difference in their lives!

Here's another reason to support Teen & Kid Closet's Socktoberdash 5K & Kids Fun Run!

Miss Elaina dazzled volunteers with her new hat and jewelry.

Thanks to our amazing donors, we can make sure her next shopping trip, and that of thousands of other children, is just as successful.

That's where Socktoberdash comes in. The fun begins at 10:00 a.m. October 17 at Heritage Cemetery. The route runs through the cemetery, and families can stop at various stations to trick-or-treat.

Register and bring a pair of socks to donate so children can shop at Teen & Kid Closet for new or gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories.

It’s SOCKTOBER at all First Interstate Bank locations all month as the bank focuses its clothes collection on new socks and underwear packs for Teen and Kid Closet!
The branch teams will be competing for most collected, help support this cause by dropping off at any of the 6 Spokane locations around town, just look for these bins inside!!🧦🧦

Want to support local children in need while enjoying a fun, Halloween-themed run?

The Socktoberdash 5K & Kids Fun Run is on Saturday, October 17th, 2026, at 10 am at Heritage Cemetery.

There will be a 5K Run/Walk for all ages and fitness levels, a Kids Fun Run, a costume contest, Trick-or-Treating along the route, event t-shirts, food, prizes, and family activities. Don’t forget to wear crazy socks!

This event helps provide clothing, personal care items, and essential resources to teens and children in need.

We’re grateful to Girl Scouts Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho Troop 2201 for helping us keep Teen & Kid Closet stocked, clean, and ready for young shoppers.

Troop leader Jessie Story knows how critical Teen & Kid Closet is for vulnerable children in the area.

“The ways that they provide a dignified shopping experience are so important,” Jessie said. “They help kids, disadvantaged and foster kids, have trendy and nicer clothes so that they feel better about themselves and about going to school in clothes that are on the same level as their peers, and that connected to the girls.”

These hardworking young ladies brought clothing from the basement, hung it on the racks, and filled them for our shoppers. They also stocked hygiene products and hung more jewelry.

“I think one of the great things with Girl Scouts is being able to explore our world, and we were grateful for the opportunity with Teen & Kid Closet to understand a community in Spokane that has higher needs, and that even a kid can help out," said Jessie.
