Thank you to Wheatland Bank for their generous $3,500 grant supporting the health and well-being of women and children at UGM’s Women & Children’s Shelter.

This grant helped fund a respiratory testing analyzer and test kits for COVID-19, RSV, and influenza. These resources have been purchased and are already in use, helping UGM provide care for families in need. We’re grateful for community partners like Wheatland Bank who help make UGM’s work possible as we provide care and a pathway toward lasting change for our neighbors.

Thank you, Wheatland Bank, for investing in the health of the families we serve!

What began with a vision to help people find reliable transportation became another way for UGM to serve our community.

Through a providential partnership with Bob McConkey of Deals Auto Auction, UGM Motors grew from a small operation known as “God’s Garage” into the enterprise it is today. With the support of local dealerships and generous community partners, the Mission was able to expand its reach and create a sustainable source of funding for its ministry.

Today, UGM Motors continues that legacy. Every vehicle donation and purchase helps support UGM’s work serving people experiencing homelessness and those pursuing lasting recovery.

For 75 years, God has provided through the generosity of this community, and UGM Motors is one example of how that faithfulness continues to make a difference across the Inland Northwest. Learn more about the history of UGM here: https://hubs.ly/Q04B54Lc0

Accepting this recognition on behalf of the Union Gospel Mission was a humbling moment for CEO Phil Altmeyer. As he shares in the video, this honor belongs not just to UGM, but to the Spokane community that has supported the mission for generations.

Since 1951, thousands of people have helped the UGM serve our neighbors in need through their generosity, prayers, and volunteer service. Their commitment has made this ministry possible and reflects a community that cares for those facing hardship.

We are deeply grateful for everyone who has been part of UGM’s story. God has been faithful through the people who continue to stand alongside this mission, and we look forward to serving Spokane together for years to come.

Thank you to the Spokane City Council for recognizing UGM’s 75th anniversary and for honoring the work made possible by this community.

"Thank you so much for changing my kid's lives and mine." - Ivory (Recovery Program Alumni)

For 75 years, UGM has had the privilege of walking alongside people in our community who need a place of hope and a pathway forward.

Countless women and children have found safety, support, and new opportunities through our recovery program. None of this would be possible without the generosity and support of our donors, volunteers, churches, and community partners.

Thank you for helping make this ministry possible and for being part of 75 years of serving our community. Read more here: https://hubs.ly/Q04BdBZd0
