Join our team of Board of Directors!

Nuestras Raices Centro Comunitario is a c3 nonprofit cultural and behavioral health center that was founded by the Hispanic Business Professional Association (HBPA); an organization formed in 1979. We proudly provide behavioral health services, case management, peer support, youth and family programs, business and workforce development, resource navigation, and community outreach at our headquarters in Spokane with a regional center in Othello Washington. Nuestras Raices is a growing dynamic organization serving the needs of the Hispanic/latino communities in the Inland Northwest and has embarked on a capital campaign to build a Cultural and Behavioral Health Center designed to meet these needs. As we expand our services and our reach, we are looking for visionary leaders to help guide this growth. We are currently seeking new members to join our Board of Directors, who have a passion for our mission/vision, and expertise to help share and bring to life our strategic vision. We are currently seeking a Board President, Treasurer, and to expand and add 5 board officers from the Spokane county and Adams/Grant county areas. If you have any questions or would like to speak to a current board member about serving on NRCC’s board, feel free to reach out. Thank you!

The Spiritual Meaning of Cempasúchil
(sehm-pah-SOO-chee)
The cempasúchil, also known as the marigold, is one of the most meaningful flowers of Día de Mu***os.

For generations, its vibrant golden color and strong fragrance have symbolized the connection between the living and those who have passed on. 🧡

✨ The petals are often placed along paths and around ofrendas, creating a guide for loved ones to find their way home.

-Its golden color represents the sun, warmth, and life, reminding us that death is not the end of our connection with those we love.

-Its fragrance is believed to help guide spirits, bringing our ancestors back to the places and people they loved.

-During Día de Mu***os, the cempasúchil becomes more than a flower—it becomes a symbol of memory, love, family, and the enduring bond between generations.

Because we remember, they continue to live in our stories, our traditions, and our hearts. 🧡

Día de Mu***os is not only about remembering those we lost. It is about welcoming them home.

Help us make this year’s Viva Vino Gala a night to remember! ✨

We are currently seeking exciting, unique, and memorable items to feature in our live and silent auctions. Your donation will help make the evening special for our guests while supporting the important work we do throughout our community.

Funds raised at the gala help us continue providing culturally and linguistically responsive programs and services to individuals and families throughout the year.

Thank you for helping us make this year’s Viva Vino Gala unforgettable! ❤️

Join us tonight! 6pm at the center. Drinks and appetizers will be provided. Learn about HBPa and learn about Nuestras Raices and hear the voices of women who made this happened.

🌸 So, What is HBPA? How Did It Start?

What started decades ago as a vision to support Hispanic and Latino business professionals has grown into a legacy of leadership, connection, and community.

Tonight, we’re gathering to celebrate Women’s Leadership: Past, Present & Future and hear from five women who have been part of HBPA’s story—helping shape where we’ve been and where we’re going.

✨ Yvonne — Former HBPA President and longtime community leader
✨ Lili — Former board member and current HBPA Vice President
✨ Isabel — Former board member and founder of the Nuestras Raíces Business Center
✨ Fernanda — Former HBPA board member and Executive Director of Nuestras Raíces
✨ Olga Lucia — Longtime HBPA member and current board member

🎤 Moderated by Abby — Current HBPA board member and longtime supporter of HBPA and our community.

From the past, to the present, and into the future, join us as we hear their stories and celebrate the women who have helped build HBPA.
