Our Bite2Go volunteers packed the last bags of the school year!

Every Thursday, 120 volunteers show up to sort, prep and assemble weekend meal bags for kids who need them. Every Friday, those bags go home. Every Monday, kids come back to school ready to learn, because they had enough to eat over the weekend.

It sounds simple. But it's over 12,500 children. It's hundreds of bags, week after week, powered entirely by people who decided this was worth showing up for.

The bags are packed. Kids will go home with food every Friday until school is out.

And when fall comes, this crew will be back.

To every Bite2Go volunteer — thank you. You showed up, and you made a difference.

Tom and Gail Stevenson have been showing up for Spokane kids since 2011.

More than $700,000 directed to programs supporting local youth and families—including Bite2Go, a weekend meal program at Second Harvest that sends food home with kids who need it most.
