Overcoming the heavy burdens of addiction, abuse, and homelessness is a monumental battle. But today, Linda’s story is one of incredible strength, hope, and new beginnings. Because of the life-changing support and safe housing we were able to help her with, she has turned the page—and best of all, she has successfully reunited with her daughter and grandchildren. One week ago today, our hearts were completely full at our People Who Care luncheon. 💛

Gathering in a room full of people united by the same mission was profoundly moving, but the true heartbeat of the day belonged to Ambriosia, Linda, and Dominique (Bernie, too đŸŸ). Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being brave enough to share your personal journeys and speak to what it means to have Transitions by your side through some of life's biggest hurdles.

To every single attendee, supporter, and presenter who made this room glow with hope and community: Thank you. While the final donation numbers are still being tallied, the true success of this day was felt in every shared tear, smile, and reminder that we are never alone. Are you looking to do work that truly makes a difference in our Spokane community? We are currently hiring for two meaningful, part-time roles dedicated to supporting women and families on their paths toward safety, stability, and independence:

🏡 House Coordinator (Miryam's House) – Part-time (20 hrs/week)
Help oversee community living and provide compassionate, trauma-informed support for single women experiencing homelessness as they transition into stable housing.

☕ Employment & CafĂ© Services Coordinator (New Leaf) – Part-time (20 hrs/week)
Combine your heart for community with hands-on support! This unique role blends café operations with employment training and mentorship for individuals overcoming barriers to work.

Celebrating Resilience, Growth, and New Beginnings at New Leaf CafĂ©!☕

Tuesday was a day full of heart, happy tears, hugs, and celebration as we honored our latest round of New Leaf Café graduates!

While not everyone could be in attendance—because so many of our graduates have already stepped straight into new employment opportunities—the room was buzzing with incredible energy and pride. If there was one word that defined this cohort, it was resilience. As our cafĂ© managers beautifully noted, each of these individuals has navigated challenges with unwavering strength and determination to reach this milestone.

Moments like these remind us why community support matters so much. If you see a familiar face, you may recognize Leshelle from last year's People Who Care video! Seeing her journey come full circle is a powerful reminder of how far our participants can go when they are given the tools, community, and encouragement to thrive.

As we look back at these powerful stories of transformation, we are already looking ahead to this year's People Who Care event!

Behind every table at the People Who Care Luncheon is someone who chose to make space for others.

A Table Captain’s role is simple, but meaningful:
– Invite a few guests
– Welcome them in
– Share the experience together

That’s it. No expectations placed on you or your guests.

This is just an opportunity to gather, listen, and share in a powerful one-hour experience.

That includes:
