As we closed out the fiscal year yesterday, we're filled with gratitude and pride for everything we accomplished together.

None of it would have been possible without the incredible leadership of our board. Our Board Chair, Jeff Conley, deserves special thanks for his vision, his steady guidance, and his unwavering belief in LMR's mission.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our outgoing board members for their years of dedicated service. Your contributions have left a lasting mark on LMR, and we are grateful for all you've given:
• Melanie H. Green (LMR '15)
• Jen Kostyniuk (LMR '16)
• Will Melton (LMR '20)
• Lisa Ramirez (LMR '18)
• Eileen Yost (LMR '18)

And to every one of our board members, thank you for the time, energy, and passion you've poured into this organization all year long.

Your dedication drives everything we do, and its impact is felt everywhere. It shows in the people we serve, the progress we've made, and the bright future we're building together.

Here's to an amazing year, and to even greater things ahead.

Sharing your story can be scary, but it doesn't have to be! We've partnered with Share More Stories to invite LMR alumni to share theirs. It doesn't have to be polished or perfectly worded.

🗣️Tell us what’s on your mind by June 30th! Questions? Contact [email protected].

We’re collecting stories from alumni to reflect on their experiences in the program and as alumni through Share More Stories' SEEQ platform.

We want to hear from our alumni as we take stock of who we are and where we want to go.

Calling All LMR Alumni!

We're partnering with Share More Stories on the Voices of LMR project to capture what alumni have found most meaningful about their LMR experience. We recently held a LinkedIn Live event to share why this work matters.

Here's the short version: research shows that belonging thrives when people feel heard and their input is truly valued. That's exactly what this project is about. We're inviting you to reflect on the moments that shaped your LMR journey, share what stayed with you, and help us build more belonging-rich experiences.

Your story matters. We'd love to hear it.

Two ways to participate: 🎙 Record a 2–5 min audio reflection (no registration needed) ✍️ Submit a written story (150-word minimum)

Deadline: Friday, June 30, 2026

After 10 months of learning, listening, connecting, and collaborating, the Leadership Quest Class of 2026 (LQ26) is now part of the LMR alumni community. Yesterday, the class gathered for its final seminar and graduation ceremony at Reynolds Community College. While their time as a cohort has ended, their community leadership quest continues.

Corey Taylor (LMR '26) was selected as the class speaker and named the Class of 2026 "A Step Above."

Rudene Mercer Haynes (LMR '16), the 2026 Ukrop Community Vision Award recipient, joined us to encourage the class as they take their next steps, knowing fellow LMR alumni will be there to support, inspire, and cheer them on.

We are proud of the Class of 2026 and look forward to seeing how they continue to lead and make an impact across the Richmond region.

Stay tuned for more photos from the ceremony!

What a night at LMR’s Spring Alumni Reception last week! From reconnecting with alumni to celebrating stories of service and leadership, the evening reminded us of the impact this community continues to make across the Richmond region.

Congratulations again to:
🏆 Rudene Mercer Haynes (’16), recipient of the Ukrop Community Vision Award
🏆 Allison Hunter (’25), posthumously honored with the Leader Who Serves Award

This year’s theme, Voices of LMR: Sharing Our Stories for the Path Ahead, continues beyond the event. Through the Share More Stories (SMS) SEEQ platform, introduced by keynote speaker James Warren, Founder & CEO of SMS, we’re inviting alumni to reflect on their LMR experience and share the stories that shaped their leadership journey.

Thank you to our presenting sponsor, Dominion Energy; supporting sponsor, Hunton; and dessert sponsor, Virginia Credit Union.
