Tech For Troops Tech For Troops empowers Veterans with laptops, training, & online gaming for mental wellness while providing data security & keeping e-waste out of landfills.

Do you still have computers that you've replaced? Donate your computers to Tech for Troops rather than sending them to the landfill. We refurbish PCs and laptops and donate them to veterans assistance organizations, children of veterans in central Virginia and beyond. Businesses, don't pay someone to remove old computers or data center equipment. Tech For Troops will pick them up and destroy your data - guaranteed. Our data destruction method is HIPPA, NIST, DoD and NSA certified. We hire veterans to help refurbish and recycle, and provide training and technical skills to help them get the skills they need to get great tech jobs. We need the following:

Desktop PCs
Laptops and power adapters
Flat panel monitors
Tables and iPads
Cell phones (unlock your cell phone, we guarantee data destruction)

We also accept file servers, routers, switches, and related hardware. For a fee we can accept:

Bulky old style monitors (CRTs)
Scanners
Printers
Flat Screen TVs

We recently welcomed Heather Hope and the WRIC 8News team to our Richmond headquarters for a special segment of Veteran Voices, airing in early November in honor of Veterans Day. 🇺🇸

Heather sat down with Tech For Troops President & CEO Mark Casper and Darryl Crewe to discuss different aspects of our mission and the work we’re doing to support Veterans through technology.

Don’t Let Old Tech Haunt Your Home!

Tech For Troops is teaming up with Pelagos VR for an Electronics Recycling Drive from October 16 – November 8!

Have old laptops, tablets, cell phones, monitors, or other electronics collecting dust? Give them a new purpose while helping support Veterans!

Your donated electronics help Tech For Troops provide Veterans with technology, training, and opportunities while keeping unwanted electronics out of landfills.

Event Details:
* Dates: October 16 – November 8, 2026
* Location: Pelagos VR at Regency, 1420 N Parham Rd, Richmond, VA 23229
* Drop-Off: During regular business hours

Important: Please make sure laptops, phones, and tablets are unlocked and personal accounts have been removed before donating.

Eli missed Shredtoberfest, but we didn’t want to leave him out! So we brought a little Oktoberfest spirit to him with a soft pretzel and homemade b**r cheese featuring Dijon mustard and paprika.
