Keep Your Care: New Resources for Virginians on Medicaid

Medicaid is more than health care. It's independence, opportunity, and freedom.

Yesterday, The Arc of Virginia joined SEIU Virginia 512, Caring Across Generations, Senator Mark Warner, and Virginia Secretary of Health and Human Resources Marvin Figueroa for the launch of the Keep Your Care campaign in Virginia.

At The Arc, we work to ensure people with developmental disabilities and their families have a seat at the table when decisions are being made that impact their lives.

We are grateful to the families and self-advocates who joined us and shared their experiences, helping leaders understand what Medicaid makes possible, the challenges families face, and what's at stake as changes move forward.

And now, we want to help get important information into the hands of Virginians who need it!

The Keep Your Care campaign has launched a Virginia resource page with information about upcoming Medicaid changes, possible exemptions, and steps people can take to protect their coverage.

The Arc will also be sharing more educational resources in the coming months to help people with developmental disabilities and their families navigate these changes.
