Bandit's Adoption and Rescue of K-9s (BARK) Per the President of BARK, as of 12/15/19, the BARK kennels are closed. Bandit was a dog neglected by his owners.

This page will continue to promote dogs in local animal shelters in need of adoption or rescue. BARK (Bandit’s Adoption and Rescue of K-9’s) was founded in 2001 by Bob and Denise Tillack who continue the legacy of a rescue effort they started when they saved Bandit in 1987. After watching Bandit deteriorate for several weeks, the founders approached Bandit's owners to purchase him. After several a

ttempts, the owner released ownership of Bandit to BARK and they took him to his new home. The founders and Bandit were together for 14 years before his death in 2001. Bandit will always be remembered, serving as a constant reminder of all the other neglected, homeless and abused animals in the world.

Please share for this handsome guy! Ralphie is an adorable, incredibly sweet and resilient 4-year-old pup who is currently in need of adoption or rescue from the Henrico County animal shelter. Ralphie came into the shelter very thin and with other signs of having had a very tough time. Through a careful feeding plan, he is gradually regaining his proper body form and is amazingly trusting and friendly with humans considering all.
