Meet John, our 2026 ambassador!

John received treatment at CHoR for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. On December 12, 2025, surrounded by extended family, John rang the ceremonial bell signaling the end of his treatment.

Now a kindergartener, he has regained much of his strength and mobility and is keeping up with his peers in tee-ball, jiu-jitsu and backyard skateboarding.

The grown-ups were on the edge of our seats waiting for that tower to collapse as these kiddos lit up our oncology clinic this week with a very intense game of Jenga!

Here at CHoR, our team of pediatric oncologists and hematologists work with nurses, psychologists, chaplains, child life specialists and social workers to ensure we're taking care of the whole child - not just treating the disease. Sometimes that means a little extra fun must be had!
