ADios Ministries ADios exists to empower and equip people to serve and grow through missions, projects and programs to spread the hope and encouragement of Jesus Christ.

ADios Ministries was started in 2008 in Portland Maine whose mission is equipping and empowering people to serve in order to improve our world by improving peoples’ lives. • Connect individuals, churches, and other groups to cross-cultural ministry opportunities

• Assist individuals, groups and churches in planning and executing trips independently or through ADios sponsored trips

• Function as a resource for those individuals, groups and churches desiring to serve abroad in missions, but need a starting point

Friends,

Two houses. Two families. Almost 50 people from Maine. What an incredible month!

Over the past few weeks, ADios Ministries partnered with teams from Eastpoint Church and The Rock Church to build two homes for families in Costa Rica.

And both houses are finished!

It was amazing to watch these teams serve, work, pray, build relationships, and ultimately hand the keys to two families who now have a safe and secure place to call home.

Thank you. So many of you helped make this possible through your financial support, prayer, encouragement, and support of individual team members. We are incredibly grateful.

What's Next?
We hope this is only the beginning. Our desire is to do more and more of this work — bringing teams together, partnering with the long-term missionaries and local leaders in Costa Rica, and helping more families experience the safety and stability of a home.

Our board will be meeting soon to begin discussing our next trips and projects.

Would you be interested in coming with us?

If you might be interested in joining a trip later this year or next summer, fill out this short form and let us know! There's no commitment — we'd just love to know who is interested as we begin making plans.

🌍 ADios Ministries Update

We’ve got a lot happening right now, and we’re excited to share a few updates!

🏠 Summer Home Builds (Casas de Esperanza)

Our teams are actively fundraising, praying, and preparing to build two homes this summer for families in a community outside of Bribri, Costa Rica.

Eastpoint Christian Church → Last week of July
The Rock Church → First week of August

Huge thank you to both teams and churches for stepping into this work. We’re so grateful for your commitment to serving these families.

🚚 Base Work Vehicle

We are continuing to raise funds for a pickup truck and enclosed trailer for the missionary base.

This would make a huge difference in transporting tools, materials, and teams — helping the work move forward safely and efficiently.

If you’re interested in helping with this project, send us a message or comment below!

🔭 Looking Ahead to 2027

We’re already dreaming about what’s next — more trips, more projects, and more families served.

🔧 Big Update from ADios Ministries

Our recent infrastructure trip to Costa Rica was a success! 🙌

The team installed tile floors, improved ceilings, and added mini-split AC units — all to prepare the base to host larger teams this summer. They also spent time in the community and connected with local leaders about future mission and vision.

And here’s what’s next:

This summer, 50 people from Maine will travel to Puerto Viejo to build two homes for single-parent families:

Eastpoint Church (July)
The Rock Church (early August)

Even cooler — these teams will be staying in the spaces our recent team just worked on.

🙏 Please pray for these teams and families
💛 Consider giving toward building materials

We’re also continuing to raise funds for a work truck + enclosed trailer to support future builds.

Thanks for being part of this mission — more updates soon!

Join Us to Pray

If you’re able, you’re invited to gather around the team and pray for them before they leave.

We will meet on the turf at Eastpoint between services at 10:20 AM this Sunday, March 15.

Small Team Service Project
This coming Wednesday, March 18, a small ADios team will travel to Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica to serve at the missionary base where our build teams stay.

The team includes Mike Leclair, Steve Brackett, Scott Carpenter, Drew Kelly, Tyson Barron, and Nick Luce. Their goal is to complete several important infrastructure projects that will help prepare the base to host the large teams coming this summer.

Between two mission teams, we are expecting more than 50 people to travel to Costa Rica to build two homes for single-parent families living on the edge of homelessness. Before those teams arrive, the base needs some improvements to support that many volunteers.

While they are there, the guys will be working on:
-Flooring
-Ceiling installation
-HVAC projects

One Small Need
We are also still looking for a guitar with a hard case that the team could bring down and donate to the long-term missionaries serving at the base.

If you happen to have one you’re willing to give, just reply to this email.

Thank you so much for your support and prayers for this work.

**🔧 Preparing the Way for a Big Summer**

In March, we’re sending a small ADios team to Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica — not to build a house yet, but to strengthen the infrastructure of the missionary base.

This summer we’re planning to bring 50+ team members to build TWO homes for single-parent families living on the edge of homelessness. But before we can build houses, we need to make sure the base is ready to host and support those teams well.

There are a few practical needs the missionaries there have shared with us:

📱 Used iPhones (newer models preferred, unlocked if possible)
🎸 A guitar (for worship and community gatherings)
🧥 Rain jackets (lightweight, durable — it’s the jungle!)

If you have any of these items in good condition and would be willing to donate them, we would love to pass them forward.

Sometimes equipping the mission isn’t complicated.
Sometimes it’s something sitting in a drawer, a closet, or hanging in the garage.

If you’d like to donate an item or learn more, send me a message or email [email protected]

Big things are coming this summer. Thank you for helping us prepare the way. ❤️
