👀 Let’s come together to make Thanksgiving special! Wayside Food Programs is gearing up to provide meals to our neighbors in Southern Maine, and we need your help to fill the need!

We are collecting essential items to help folks enjoy a warm holiday meal:

Cranberry Sauce
Boxed Stuffing
Turkey Gravy Packets
Cream of Mushroom Soup
Green Beans
French Fried Onions
Kids Snacks

Please drop off by 2pm on Thursday, November 19th. Our warehouse is on the corner of Walton Street & Canco Road in Portland. It’s the building covered in beautiful murals by Ryan Adams ❤️

Thank you to the team at Whole Foods Market (Portland) for filling our Nourishing Our Neighborhoods van with fresh produce and pantry staples! Ours was one of 112 hunger relief events hosted by Whole Foods Market on Tuesday. Donations like this help ensure we have the resources to meet the growing need in our community.

For our final segment of “Meet the Donating Farmers,” we spoke with Caitlin Hopkins of Little Busters Oysters in Freeport. When a community shows up for a common cause, it looks like this! Over 32,000 lbs. of food was collected on Friday at the annual United We CAN Food Drive. This generous donation was shared with and . Like always, the can sculptures were creative, and folks in need are getting support. A BIG win all around! Thank you to all the companies that supported this event! We see you!

Some folks just know their calling, and that’s a special thing. Eric and his wife, Valy, have been running Flying Point Oysters out of Freeport since 2000!
