Veterans and Reservists, worth the read, proposed legislation that could affect you.

The Reserve Component Fairness Act would allow qualifying active-duty service performed after January 28, 2008, before joining the Ready Reserve to count toward reducing the age at which a Reserve retiree can begin receiving retired pay.

Read the proposal here:

https://lnkd.in/g3hBwhDz

If you served on active duty before transitioning to the Reserve Component, I encourage you to read the proposal and contact your congressional representative to voice your support and ask them to consider cosponsoring the legislation.

This is an opportunity to advocate for fair recognition of qualifying service regardless of whether it occurred before or after transitioning to the Reserve Component.

Please share with other veterans and Reservists who may be impacted.
