Real change doesn’t happen when people work alone; it happens when people come together around a common purpose.

Brother Rashad challenges us to think beyond individual causes and focus on building a collective platform for social justice. A confederation can look like community organizations, faith leaders, educators, activists, and everyday residents working together to address the issues that impact us all.

When we unite our voices, resources, and efforts, we create change that no single person or group can accomplish alone.

The future we want will require collaboration, commitment, and community.

As Brother Rashad reminds us, it’s time to do for ourselves.

THE PEOPLE'S FOOD PANTRY

The strength of a community is measured by how well it cares for its people.

Join us as we continue the work of providing food, resources, and support to families throughout our community.

Together, we can make a difference one family, one neighbor, and one act of service at a time.

Share this post. All are welcome.

According to the American Heart Association, 80% of cardiovascular diseases are preventable with education, routine checkups, and healthy lifestyle changes. Yet, heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women in the U.S.

We are changing that narrative through action and education. Preventative healthcare isn't just going to the doctor, but also equipping yourself with the tools and knowledge to protect your future.

Join us this Saturday, May 30, 2026, for the Women's Empowerment Event.
The event starts at 11 AM. Free Event - RSVP appreciated

The blueprint for our future is being written, and we are the only ones holding the pen.

Activist Kwame Ture declared, "Black power is the ability of black people to politically, economically, and socially define and control their own destinies."

Activist Angela Davis declared, "I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept."

Check out what our founder & leader, Brother Rashad, declares below.
We are the answer we’ve been waiting for. It's time to BE THE CHANGE

Looking back at these moments from our past Women's Empowerment gatherings, we remember the strength found when we simply sit together. There is magic that happens when women circle up to dialogue, listen, and simply pour back into one another.

We are preparing that same sacred space of support, sisterhood, and uplift again in just a few weeks. We can't wait to circle up with you.

Ladies, it's time to put YOU first. Register today www.ceapittsburgh.org/events (Free Event)

It takes more than just saying we care about the next generation; it takes showing up.

Our youth don't just need our words—they need our time, our guidance, and our commitment to build safe spaces where they can thrive. Whether it is on the basketball court, opening doors for internships or workforce opportunities, or simply being a positive presence in their lives, the responsibility belongs to all of us.

We can't expect them to build a future if we don't hand them the blueprint.

How are you pouring into the village today? 👇🏾

"I am sick and tired of being sick and tired." - Fannie Lou Hamer

Fannie Lou Hamer didn’t just speak those words; she organized, fought, and risked her life so that our voices could be heard at the ballot box. Today, we don't just post her picture—we honor her legacy through action.

At CEA, we know that true community empowerment requires exercising our Civic Voice. The right to vote was paid for by the sacrifices of our ancestors. Don't leave your power on the table today.

Polls are open until 8 PM. Honor the legacy. GO VOTE.

Did you know that Black women disproportionately experience delayed diagnoses for chronic illnesses because our pain is often dismissed, or because we simply don't have the time to stop and go to the doctor?

The CDC reports that systemic barriers and delayed preventative care lead to Black women having significantly higher mortality rates in maternal health, breast cancer, and heart disease.

We cannot afford to leave our health to chance. We need the right information, from the right experts.

CEA is officially launching The Women's Empowerment Series—an ongoing initiative designed to arm you with the knowledge, resources, and expert connections you need to make life-changing decisions about your wellness. From maternal health and heart disease prevention to mental health and group therapy, we are covering it all.

You protect the village. Let us help you protect YOU.

Drop a 💜 in the comments if you are ready to prioritize your wellness this year.
