The Senate Republicans just rushed in a vote on Jennifer Storm today, and she was denied confirmation. There was a mix of Republicans and Democrats that voted her down.

Street's office also said last week that Gov Wolf had agreed to appoint someone 'in favor of criminal justice reform' if Storm were to get voted down, so I guess that's what we'll need to hold him to now. This comes from all of our collective work over the past couple years to push on her when no one else would, so even though it's a year and a couple strange turns of events later, it looks like we got a win here! The biggest and most active opponent to parole for lifers won't be the head of her office next year.
