Recently, the Girls of Steel FRC team attended the Greater Pittsburgh Regional. Not only did the team win the Sustainability award for our work in creating a pipeline for students to continue their STEM education, but our Technical Project Manager—Hanying Zhang—became a FIRST Leadership Award Finalist, eligible to be considered for the award at Worlds, and our mentor—Sarah Withee—won the Volunteer of the Year Award for her willingness to take on any role needed to help pull an event off!
