Pittsburgh Center For Arts & Media PCA&M's mission is to support artists and advance artistic excellence in the visual arts.

PCA&M's mission is to promote and support the arts and artists in our local and regional area of southwestern PA and Pittsburgh proper. We're a community-based institution that offers a wide range of visual arts courses, artist led workshops, artist residency in partnership with public schools, access to equipment and studio space, and exhibition programs. Annually PCA&M serves thousands of individuals from a wide range of ages.

Our 6th Annual Member & Student Exhibition opens in 2 weeks!

This year, in addition to celebrating the members and students who make up our creative community, PCA&M also celebrates 80 years of arts education! In our 6th Annual Member & Student Exhibition, the work of 52 artists will be on display alongside ephemera from PCA&M’s historical archives.

With this year’s exhibition, we not only recognize legacy as something from the past viewed in the present, but as something on-going, that an entire community has the ability to contribute to.

We hope to see you at the opening on June 26th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Meet Melissa Sullivan, talented artist and Ceramics Studio Access member for 20 years and counting! Her piece “Storm Surge” will be on display in our Member & Student Exhibition alongside archival works celebrating 80 years of PCA&M.

“I do actually have a home studio but usually like working at the PCAM studio much more for the inspiration and social engagement of working around other artists. The facilities are wonderful, with opportunities to fire work at different temperatures for different effects and uses. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable which supports my own creative endeavors.”

Thank you to everyone who came out to paint in the park with us! We couldn’t have asked for a nicer weekend for our Plein Air Paint-Out! The weather was absolutely perfect to capture Mellon Park, and it really showed in every artists work.

A very special thanks to our guiding artists, Tyler Gedman and Nick Ruble, who shared their expertise and guidance over the weekend!

We can’t wait to do it again next year!

The weather is looking great this weekend for our 3rd Annual Plein Air Paint-Out this weekend! If you’re joining us and wondering what to paint, we’ve been spending some time in the park and have a few ideas!

There’s so many great views in Mellon Park, from the architecture in the walled garden, the rolling landscapes with East Liberty in the background, the natural growth of the trees, there’s a lot to put on canvas!

If you haven’t secured your spot yet, there’s still time! Online registrations close Friday at 12:00pm!
