Pittsburgh Center For Arts & Media PCA&M's mission is to support artists and advance artistic excellence in the visual arts.

PCA&M's mission is to promote and support the arts and artists in our local and regional area of southwestern PA and Pittsburgh proper. We're a community-based institution that offers a wide range of visual arts courses, artist led workshops, artist residency in partnership with public schools, access to equipment and studio space, and exhibition programs. Annually PCA&M serves thousands of individuals from a wide range of ages.

Exciting news: we're launching two new access memberships to expand our offerings to more working artists!

The Firing Only membership is perfect for ceramic artists who have their own studios to make work and only need access to a kiln and glazes. This membership includes up to 2 firings per month, as well glazing access during open studios.

The Metals Access membership grants access to our metals facility including benches, multipurpose work tables, general hammering and forming equipment, hand tools, acetylene torches, buffing machine and more! An excellent option for the metals artist looking for an affordable, shared studio space! https://pghartsmedia.org/artist-services/metals-studio/

As with our other access memberships, those who are interested must have recently completed a class at PCA&M and/or must test out with our studio manager/technicians.

We’re excited to give a very long overdue welcome to Chris Boring to our team as our Artist Services Manager!

If you’ve stopped by the center lately to see an exhibiiton, drop off work for the shop, or have just been an artist in the city, Chris is a familiar face.

Chris previously had worked with Blick Art Materials for 10+ years and is also currently the Studio Director at Radiant Hall Homewood 202.

Chris regularly paints and exhibits work nationally. His artwork explores nostalgic moments in life, and depicts still life and landscape imagery with the intent to draw the viewer to individual moments in their life or to contemplate the complete breath of their life span.

Chris is excited to bring his sales and art experience to help grow The Shop and exhibitions at PCA&M, and help shine the spotlight on artists that work with the center!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for the opening of Selected Craft on Friday! We had such a great time celebrating the work of artists from The Craftsmen’s Guild of Pittsburgh!
