ICE & DHS are taking our land & building a call center facility for law enforcement agencies to expedite their cruel, harmful, and costly mass deportation across the nation. First, they tried Adams, Tennessee, and after backlash, they’ve now set their sights on Donelson in Nashville.

This call center is an attempt at streamlining ICE & law enforcement collaboration across the entire nation, with a special focus on targeting and deporting those who came to the U.S. as unaccompanied children.

Desde el Congreso de Tennessee hasta el gobierno federal, en TIRRC y en nuestros pueblos vimos cómo la gente en el poder buscó formas nunca antes vistas para perjudicar a nuestras comunidades inmigrantes y refugiadas. Pero aun con todos estos abusos, nuestra gente demostró lo que pasa cuando nos unimos: luchamos juntos y salimos adelante.

TIRRC is proud to stand with immigrants and refugees at We Are All America ’s National Refugee Advocacy Days. Our neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces are fuller because immigrants and refugees are part of them. This week we’re urging Congress to restore refugee admissions, defend asylum, protect TPS, and end travel bans because our community is worth fighting for.

Las familias en Estados Unidos ya están pagando demasiado por la comida, la vivienda, el cuidado de los niños, las medicinas y los artículos de uso diario. Al mismo tiempo, el gobierno de Trump está gastando miles de millones de dólares de nuestros impuestos para expulsar y deportar masivamente a personas. Están persiguiendo a muchos de nuestros vecinos y conocidos que cosechan lo que comemos, construyen nuestras casas, cuidan a nuestros seres queridos y hacen que los negocios locales sigan funcionando.

Estas deportaciones masivas no solo afectan a las familias inmigrantes, sino que también golpean a toda la economía. Ese gasto extra es como un “impuesto de ICE”: un cobro escondido que las familias terminan pagando cuando el gobierno prefiere gastar dinero en deportaciones en lugar de bajar los precios de los bienes.
