Memphis Kids in Nature Memphis Kids in Nature connects kids to the outdoors in meaningful, lasting, and life-changing ways.

Memphis Kids in Nature (MKIN) provides day trips and overnight camping experiences for inner-city children that give them opportunities to play and have fun while exploring nature. Day trips take kids hiking, birding, stream strolling or fishing at destinations like state parks and private farms within an hour drive of Memphis. Overnight camping experiences give kids the thrill of sleeping in a te

nt, star gazing and roasting hot dogs over a campfire. MKIN provides trip coordination, transportation, meals, and gear for each trip. Our staff are professional naturalists and environmental educators who engage children in the outdoors and inspire a love of nature. Our goal is to help kids develop a connection with, and an understanding of the natural world that will last far into the future.
