Did you know? Memphis Union Mission offers an Intact Family Program that helps families move from crisis to stability without being separated.

Families in the program live in a fully furnished home for three to six months while working, saving money, attending Bible studies, and receiving Christ-centered counseling and practical guidance. The goal is more than providing temporary housing—it's helping families build a strong foundation for lasting independence and renewed hope.

At Memphis Union Mission, today's help can become tomorrow's transformed future.

“They showed Christ to me, and I have a beautiful life now!”

After two decades of homelessness and addiction, James found lasting hope through Memphis Union Mission's life-transforming recovery program. Today, he has been sober since 2008, is working full-time as a forklift operator, and has been reunited with his family—all through the grace of God.

From homelessness to hope, James' story is a powerful reminder that transformation is possible through Christ.

"One of the greatest rewards of volunteering is knowing that God can use a single day of service to encourage someone for a lifetime."

Volunteers help make Memphis Union Mission a place where hope is shared, lives are encouraged, and the love of Christ is experienced. We are especially grateful to Crossroads Baptist Church for providing and serving dinner and for leading chapel for our guests and clients. Thank you for your faithful partnership and for helping create opportunities for lasting transformation.

After years of addiction, abuse, and loss, Jessica found hope and healing through Moriah House, Memphis Union Mission’s life-transforming recovery program for women. Today, she is sober, employed full-time, and rebuilding her life while restoring her relationship with her daughter and family.

Through God's grace, what once seemed broken has been restored, and a new future is now within reach.

“You have to have God first, get your mind to it, and you can accomplish it.”

While participating in Memphis Union Mission's life-transforming recovery program, Adam, Kavion, and Johnathan earned their GEDs and discovered a new confidence in their ability to succeed. This achievement is more than a diploma—it is a reminder that with faith, determination, and support, a new future is possible.

At Memphis Union Mission, every transformed life begins with a single step toward hope.

“Pray to God and decide how you want to live. Do you want to be on drugs, or do you want to succeed in life?”

After years of addiction and multiple setbacks, Darrell found a second chance through Memphis Union Mission's Christ-centered recovery program. Today, he is living in sobriety, serving others at the Mission, and has earned his HVAC certification through Moore Tech, preparing for a stable and independent future.
