It’s that time of year again 👠
On Saturday, October 3, the Memphis Area Women’s Council is bringing Walk A Mile in Her Shoes back to Downtown Memphis for its 15th year - the longest-running walk of its kind in the nation.
We’re calling on men, boys, families, friends, advocates, and allies across Memphis to show up and take a stand against domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and gender-based violence.
We’ll kick things off at 10:30 AM at Handy Park on Beale with live music from phases, local organizations, activities, refreshments, and registration before our rally at 11:30 AM. At 11:45 AM, we’ll take to the streets for our one-mile walk through Downtown Memphis.
Ending violence against women cannot be women’s work alone. Men’s voices, choices, and allyship matter. Come in heels. Borrow a pair. Wear your own shoes. Just come ready to walk with us.
