🐾 UPDATE ON FELIX 🐾
We got this sweet boy checked out at Grace Animal Hospital! His finder gave him the perfect name, Felix, after the place where he was rescued.
Our vet estimates Felix is around 8 years old, and there’s great news: he’s heartworm negative! The concern, however, is that he’s severely malnourished, weighing in at just 20 pounds. Given how underweight he is, our vet recommended holding off on all vaccines except rabies for now, as his body simply isn’t strong enough to handle them safely yet.
From the moment we met him, Felix has been an absolute gem. He passed dogs and cats at the vet without so much as a second glance, nothing but gentle, calm, and sweet through it all.
He’s now headed to a foster home with the very person who rescued him. We couldn’t think of a better place for him to start his journey. We’ll keep everyone updated as he settles in and begins putting on some much-needed weight 💙🙏💙
