MEMPHISSSS! Y’ALL GOT 2 DAYS! 👀🗳️💚

Baby, I hope y’all registered because EARLY VOTING STARTS THIS WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14TH! 👏🏾

Now listen, I know life be life-ing, schedules be scheduling, and November 3rd might seem like it’s still a minute away, BUT you don’t have to wait until Election Day to cast your ballot!

Here in Shelby County, early voting runs October 14–29, and you can vote at ANY designated early voting location in the county during its scheduled hours!

And before you head to the polls, make sure you:
🗳️ Check your voter registration status.
📍 Find your nearest early voting location.
📋 Research who’s actually on YOUR ballot.
🪪 Bring an acceptable “REAL” photo ID or passport
📅 Pick a day that works for YOU!

Because baby, they done chopped and screwed these districts, and we need to understand who represents us and what these offices actually do! 😭😂

Because baby, these district lines have changed, the map has been redrawn, and now we gotta know where we live politically AND who is on our ballot.

They done chopped & screwed the map, so now it’s time for us to do our homework.

TODAY, October 5, is the LAST DAY to register to vote in Tennessee for the November 3 General Election. 🗳️

Don’t just think you’re registered.
Don’t just think your address is right.
GO CHECK.

And if you aren’t register today just unfriend and block me!

Politics has vocabulary and if nobody explains the vocabulary, people can get lost before they ever make it to the ballot.
So here’s today’s WTF word: PRIMARY.

No presidential election ≠ no election.
Midterms happen halfway through a president’s four-year term, and 2026 includes elections for Congress plus major state offices here in Tennessee.

This September, I’ll be traveling to Washington, D.C. to attend the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference (CBCF ALC) one of the nation’s largest gatherings of elected officials, nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and changemakers.

I’m not going just for me.

I’m going for Frayser.
I’m going for Memphis.

My mission is to:
🤝 Build meaningful relationships
💡 Discover new resources and funding opportunities
🏛️ Learn innovative ideas that can strengthen our communities
🌟 Bring partnerships and opportunities back home

Every donation helps make this mission possible and directly supports conference registration, travel, lodging, educational materials, and the community reports and presentations I’ll bring back to Memphis after the conference.

Excited to have attended the Frayser Transit Community Schools Beam Signing Ceremony this week as we celebrated an incredible investment in the future of our community.

This new $112 million, state-of-the-art campus will bring together Trezevant High School and Martin Luther King Jr. College Preparatory High School into one modern, approximately 270,000-square-foot facility right here in North Memphis.
