The railroad switching yard covered about 25-acres. It was originally owned by Frisco Railroad, and later by Burlington Northern. Around 1990 Memphian Henry Turley partnered with Glacier Park Co., a real estate subsidiary of Burlington Northern, to begin developing the South Bluffs area.
