There are seasons when God calls us to wait—and waiting faithfully is obedience.

But sometimes, if we’re honest, we aren’t waiting on God.

We’re waiting to feel ready.
Waiting until we’re less afraid.
Waiting until we know exactly how it will turn out.
Waiting for more time, more confidence, more certainty.

And maybe God has already made the next step clear.

You don’t need to see the whole staircase to take the step in front of you. You don’t need to feel fearless to be faithful. And you don’t need every detail figured out before you obey.

So ask Him:

Is there something You’ve already asked me to do that I’m still waiting to begin?

Send the text.
Have the conversation.
Serve the person.
Join the community.
Start the chapter.
Take the step.

Not recklessly. Not because you’re trying to force something God hasn’t called you to.

But because when He says go, faith moves.

What are you waiting for?

If you feel like God is calling you to start a chapter, we’d love to chat more with you about that. There’s no robots or auto replies here. Send us a DM and we’ll set up a time to connect and talk about what the next steps look like.

When John said these words, his disciples had just come to him concerned: people were leaving John and going to Jesus instead.

His influence was shifting. His audience was getting smaller. Someone else was getting the attention.

John could have responded with jealousy. He could have felt threatened, overlooked, or defeated. He could have tried to protect what he had built.

Instead, he celebrated.

John understood his place in what God was doing. He knew that the platform he had been given was never really his to begin with. Just a few verses earlier, he says, “No one can receive anything unless it has been given to him from heaven.”

John knew who had given him his influence—and he knew who deserved the glory from it.
So when people began turning toward Jesus, John didn’t see it as his ministry shrinking.

He saw it as his mission succeeding.

There is so much freedom in living this way.
We don’t have to be threatened when someone else gets the opportunity, the recognition, the growth, or the platform. We don’t have to compare what God is doing through us with what He is doing through someone else.

We can faithfully steward what He has put in front of us and genuinely celebrate when He moves somewhere else.

Because the goal should never be for our name to become greater.

But always for His to.

Just stay faithful.

The world will pull you in a hundred different directions. People will have opinions about what your priorities should be, what deserves your attention, and what a successful life is supposed to look like.

Through it all, choose the narrow path.

Stay faithful to the One who set you free.
Stay faithful to the unique call He has placed on your life.
Stay faithful to the way He has asked you to live—even when it’s unpopular, inconvenient, or misunderstood.

Not because you have to earn His love. Not because your obedience saves you. And not because God is waiting for you to get everything right.

We obey because we belong to Him.

The God who created us knows what we were created for. His commands aren’t meant to keep us from a full life; they lead us into the life He designed us to live. And He hasn’t left us to do it in our own strength. He has given us the Holy Spirit to empower us, guide us, convict us, and help us walk faithfully.

You don’t have to follow every voice.
You don’t have to chase every version of success.

Keep your eyes on Jesus.

And just stay faithful.

While on vacation, Mike, our ED, was thinking about Faith and has a few words to share with us. He asks a big question, “Where is your faith?”
