That's a wrap on a month of programs at the International Relations Council!
This past month, the International Relations Council held three Roundtable discussions on the regions of The Americas, Southeast Asia & Oceania, and Middle East & North Africa.
In partnership with and RISE at the Kansas City Library, we held a panel discussion titled "Iran 2026: Protests, War, Power Shifts, and Global Impact".
In partnership with , we hosted KC native Emily Benson for a discussion titled "Trade, Technology, and Power", moderated by Anthony Caruso of Critical Materials Crossroads.
We held our first IRC Book Club of the year, convening a group who read Jhumpa Lahiri's "The Namesake".. AND we celebrated Kansas City teachers while connecting them to globally minded resource at Global Connections: A Teacher Resource Happy Hour.
We don't need to tell you that June 2026 in Kansas City is going to be as global as it gets!!
