We are incredibly grateful to receive a Community Impact Fund grant from United Way of Mesa County!

This support will strengthen our Wellness Fund, helping provide free counseling scholarships for Colorado Mesa University students and those who serve students.

Through the Wellness Fund, individuals can access sessions with licensed local counselors, removing financial barriers and creating space for healing and support.

Thank you, United Way of Mesa County, for investing in the well-being of our campus community. Your partnership is helping make mental health care more accessible for the people who need it!

After many years of faithful leadership, we are celebrating and saying thank you to Will Kuhlman as he steps away from his role as Director of The Christ Center.

Will’s leadership helped shape our community in countless ways. He guided the Christ Center through the COVID-19 pandemic and the loss of our founder, and he brought stability to the organization as he led a campaign to make us debt-free. His impact extends far beyond what we can capture in a single post.

Throughout his time at the Christ Center, his deep care and concern for people remained his top priority. We are extremely grateful for the time, energy, and care that Will poured into this mission.

As we enter this next chapter, we are excited to welcome Taylor Scofield as our Interim Director.

Taylor has served with The Christ Center for the past few years and will help guide our organization through this season of transition while continuing to build on the foundation that has been laid. The mission to support college students and strengthen campus ministry remains the same.

We had a blast sharing about the Christ Center and the many ways we support college students at the anniversary party. We had some future Christ Center staff pitch in and help us!

Why is our coffee shop called Four Winds?

The name comes from an ancient image in Ezekiel 37, where the breath of God comes from the “four winds” to bring life to something that once felt completely dry and lifeless.

We love that image!

To us, it represents renewal, fresh starts, and the kind of life that comes when people gather, truly see each other, and take a moment to slow down and enjoy a cup of coffee. We know that our coffee shop is a place where the Spirit of God is at work.
