We had a blast sharing about the Christ Center and the many ways we support college students at the anniversary party. We had some future Christ Center staff pitch in and help us!

Why is our coffee shop called Four Winds?

The name comes from an ancient image in Ezekiel 37, where the breath of God comes from the “four winds” to bring life to something that once felt completely dry and lifeless.

We love that image!

To us, it represents renewal, fresh starts, and the kind of life that comes when people gather, truly see each other, and take a moment to slow down and enjoy a cup of coffee. We know that our coffee shop is a place where the Spirit of God is at work.

Before The Christ Center was full of students, conversations, and ministry, it looked like this.

What started as an empty building has become a place for student gatherings, community events, prayer meetings, discipleship, and countless conversations about life and faith.

We are so grateful for the vision that started it all back in 2009 and the ongoing ministry today!

Because of the Christ Center’s Mission Scholarship Fund, students were able to attend ResCon with and return with renewed vision for the campus!

One student shared, “I came back on fire for God and have new goals that I want to follow in evangelism.”

Another student reflected on a defining moment of the weekend. “It was an incredible church bonding experience.” Their church gathered to process what God was teaching them and to ask what kind of culture they want to build in Grand Junction and how to get there.

This is why the Mission Scholarship Fund exists. To remove financial barriers so students can grow in conviction and community.

Thanks to those of you that support this fund! We love seeing students transformed through your generosity!

“You are what you love.” – James K. A. Smith

College isn’t just about earning a degree. It’s about becoming someone.

The Christ Center cares about the kind of people students are becoming — thoughtful, faithful, grounded, and prepared to serve wherever God calls them.

Four Winds is a modern day well, a place where students can study, interact with the community, and feel at home. That is why we offer free study rooms and employ so many college students. We want them to connect their vocation with God’s bigger work of redemption.

Please pray for our space and the college students that frequent it.

As we near the end of the year, we’re blown away by what God is doing in so many areas!

-Sunday Suppers have doubled—from around 40 to around 80 students each week.
-Our Wellness Fund just scholarshipped 3 more individuals into free counseling.
-Common Ground has been growing steadily, with 15+ joining in meaningful conversation at our last gathering.

Thank you for helping create spaces where students are fed, supported, and known!
