Another great week at Rotary!
We had the pleasure of hearing from Holly Webster with the Grand Junction Housing Authority, who shared insights on the important work being done to support housing in our community—thank you for an informative and meaningful presentation.
We also enjoyed a fun Rotary tradition as President Tyler received some thoughtful gifts from fellow Rotarians’ travels—always a highlight! 🌍
Congratulations to our exchange student Constantine for winning the raffle 🎉, and a warm Rotary welcome to our newest member, Katie Squier—we’re so glad to have you join us!
And Congatulations to Biff, our Rotarian of the Month! Keep and eye out for his sign all over town.

We may be a little behind in posting, but this moment was too special not to share. 💙
At a recent Rotary meeting, we had the honor of presenting an Emeritus Award to charter member Poppy Woody. Poppy has been an important part of our club since the very beginning, and her years of service, dedication, and friendship have helped shape who we are today.
Poppy, thank you for everything you’ve given to Rotary and to our community. This recognition is so well deserved, and we are grateful to celebrate you—no matter how late this post may be!

A couple weeks ago at Rotary, we had a fantastic program from Abe Herman with Friends of Youth and Nature. He shared the incredible work being done to connect young people with the outdoors and create meaningful experiences in nature—something that truly makes a lasting impact in our community.
We also had some fun along the way—congrats to Curry Ventling for winning the raffle! 🎉
Even though we’re a little late in sharing, it was a meeting worth celebrating. Thank you to Abe for an inspiring presentation!

Way to go Victoria! We’re all very proud of you.

Way to go Victoria! We’re all very proud of you.

Congratulations to Victoria Grasmick, Community Health Program Manager at Intermountain Health St. Mary’s Regional Hospital, for being recognized as a Public Health Hero by Mesa County Public Health.

Victoria was honored for her leadership in community collaborations, health promotion efforts, and her meaningful contributions to the county-wide Community Health Improvement Plan. Her work reflects the power of partnership and a shared commitment to building a healthier Western Colorado.

We’re proud to celebrate Victoria and the positive impact she continues to make across our community. 💙

Our last meeting of “winter” was very warm and friendly. Christina had a great story to go along with the shirt she brought Tyler, Jim’s wife Heidi spoke about clinical trials at Intermountain Health , which was very interesting and then Christina was the lucky winner of the little raffle. See you next week for our first meeting of spring! Stay cool! It’s going to be a hot weekend.
