We had the honor of interviewing representatives from two of our partners and grantees, Riverside Education Centers (REC) and Colorado Discover Ability (CDA), on our KAFM show, United is the Way. Our adaptive cycling program gives individuals of all abilities the opportunity to get outside, enjoy the trails, and experience the freedom of riding.

We are absolutely thrilled to share a wonderful new development at Highline State Park that significantly enhances our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility for all our cherished visitors. We are delighted to announce the official arrival and immediate availability of our brand-new Mobi-Chair, a specialized, all-terrain, buoyant wheelchair designed to provide effortless access to the refreshing waters of our swim beach.

Especially with the scorching temperatures we've been experiencing, we understand the desire for a cooling dip in the lake. This innovative addition will now empower individuals with mobility challenges to safely and comfortably experience the joy and relief of our pristine waters, fostering a truly memorable and barrier-free park experience.

To ensure safety and ease of use, the Mobi-Chair operates with the assistance of two individuals: one to guide and pull the chair into the water, and another to manage braking and steering. Visitors can arrange for this invaluable service by making a reservation. Detailed booking information, including availability and scheduling options, can be found on our official Highline State Park website or by contacting the park office directly during business hours. We encourage you to plan ahead to secure your preferred time slot.

This remarkable initiative was made possible through the unwavering dedication and generous support of the Friends of Highline Lake State Park, along with the invaluable contributions from our devoted members and the broader Grand Valley community. This collective effort truly embodies the spirit of giving back and demonstrates our shared commitment to making Highline State Park a welcoming sanctuary for everyone.
