We were so graciously welcomed at Laurentide at Mashpee Commons today for our very first visit, and what a wonderful experience it was! ❤️

The facility is beautiful, the staff is incredibly engaging and welcoming, and the residents are simply amazing. The conversations, smiles, laughter, and connections we shared today are memories we’ll carry with us. 🐾🦁

We truly love what we do and, even more, we love being able to share a little joy, companionship, and comfort with others. Today, it was so beautifully received, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity.

When talking with people who aren’t familiar with Lions, it can sometimes be hard to put into words just how much we do in our communities. And when therapy dog visits become such a big part of what people see us doing, it’s easy to overlook all the other ways Lions continue to serve.

Talking is teaching, but seeing is believing!

We put together a brochure that gives a better picture of who we are, what we do, and the many ways we serve. It’s a great way to share the bigger story of Lions and everything that happens beyond what you may see at first glance.

☀️ Dog Days of Summer at Hyannis Country Gardens! ☀️

And boy, was it truly a summer day! 🐾

We had a wonderful time at today’s Dog Days of Summer event, bringing together a variety of local pet businesses and organizations—from pet sitting and doggie daycare to pet portraits, accessories, pet therapy, and dog training, just to name a few.

We had the pleasure of meeting so many adorable dogs and owners, while sharing information about our club, our mission, and the work we do in our community. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, make new friends, and celebrate our love of animals.

A special thank you to our District Governor Jesse Armell for making the trip over the bridge to join us and be part of today’s event. Jesse, your knowledge, support, and enthusiasm are always welcomed and greatly appreciated!

And, of course, we couldn’t leave without capturing some fun moments at the ever-popular Photo Booth! 📸🐶

We were able to participate at a wonderful community building event, Dennis National Night Out, hosted by the Dennis Police Department and sponsored by many local business and town offices.
It was a wonderful free event for all ages! We had amazing conversations with all of the families who came up to us. And as always, the doggie Photo Booth was a hit!
The food had been donated by Stop and Shop and dinner was provided for us and the dogs, which was awesome.
So many people were very excited to hear about all the good we put back into the community and hadn’t realized how much Lions actually do.

Where is the summer going? Can you believe we are only 6 weeks away from the 17th annual Thirsty Pilgrim! Come join us on Saturday, September 12th and Sunday September 13th starting at NOON on the front lawn of the Hedge House on Plymouth’s historic waterfront. We have switched up the entertainment this year. Saturday we will have the Hofbräu Spieler Polka Band and Sunday starting at 1pm we will have the Ayla Brown Band followed by Dr. Bombay. Admission will be $10…Guaranteed to have great beer, great food, great entertainment which means GREAT FUN! So mark your calendars. Hope to see you there!
