Dear Tommy’s Place Team,

"There are no words that can express how grateful our family is for everything Tommy’s Place has done for us. Tommy’s Place gave us something we desperately needed, it gave us the much needed break from the hospital and helped create family memories that we will carry with us forever. Tommy’s Place was truly a magical experience for all of us. We will never forget the kindness and generosity that made our time at Tommy’s Place possible. Your support means more than you may ever know. A great big hello and welcome to our new Tommy's Place friend Aiden! Aiden and his family visited us at Tommy's Place in Falmouth!

Aiden's mom in her own words...

"We had lots of friends and family come stay with us at the house. Aiden’s favorites were the pool, the basketball court, and of course the game room! He slept in the Bruins room and was king for a week! We tried lobster ice cream (surprisingly it works!) and shopped the cute stores in town. We made s’more’s, played games, and watched movies. The house was so beautiful and spacious and he had enough room to get some chill time when he needed it.
Aiden battled anaplastic large cell lymphoma twice and had two brain surgeries followed by intense chemo. He just got off his 2 year chemo pill and is slowly starting to get back to being a 12 year old. We are so grateful for the opportunity to stay at Tommy’s Place, it was such a magical place where love and memories came together. Thank you so much!!!!"

"Our stay at Tommy’s Place was truly unforgettable. After a year filled with hospitals, treatments, surgeries, and so much uncertainty, having a week where Lucy could simply be a kid was an incredible gift. She loved swimming, playing restaurant, creating art, watching movies, and making memories with family and friends. The tears when it was time to leave said everything—Tommy’s Place gave our family something we desperately needed: time together filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of normalcy. We will forever be grateful for this beautiful place and the people who make these stays possible."

Tommy's Place Sunday Volunteer Hospitality Cleaning Team Appreciation Day!

Tommy's Place hosts 104 superhero kids and their deserving families each year at its magical vacation homes for kids fighting cancer in Centerville and Falmouth on Cape Cod.

What lots of people don't realize is that Tommy's Place only closes down for a very brief 3 hour window between 10 and 1 each Sunday. During that 3 hour span an army of incredibly amazing and generous volunteers comes in and magically transitions the homes back into 5 Star hotels to get them ready for the arrival of our next superhero guests! These aren't professional cleaners, they are everyday extraordinary individuals who walk among us and give up their valuable time to help support our mission of bringing smiles to the faces of kids fighting cancer.
We are very grateful beyond words for what these superhumans do all throughout the year to make Tommy's Place into a "home" for our visitors, who travel all throughout New England, to come together under one roof to get a brief one week reprieve from this horrible monster who has wreaked havoc upon their lives.

Thank you Tommy's Place Hospitality Volunteers and thank you to Pete & Erika Orlandella for hosting our teams at the Cape Cod Winery this past Sunday during a torrential downpour! Pete and Erika, and their awesome team, go above and beyond to help support Tommy's Place all throughout the year - THANK YOU!

Rhy's mom in her own words...

"For the first time in a long time, cancer wasn’t the center of every moment. We spent our days laughing, exploring, playing, and watching our children simply be kids. It was, without a doubt, the happiest and most carefree week we’ve had as a family since Rhys began treatment.

Tommy’s Place is so much more than a beautiful home. It’s a place filled with hope, kindness, imagination, and love. Every room is thoughtfully designed, every detail reminds you that someone truly cares, and from the moment you walk through the door, you feel welcomed.

What you have created is so much more than a vacation home. It’s a place of hope and happiness where families facing childhood cancer can step away from the weight of treatment, reconnect with one another, and simply make memories together. That gift is truly priceless.

Thank you for giving our family a week we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We are so thankful that Tommy’s Place exists for families like ours, and we are honored to now be part of the Tommy’s Place family."

It is with tremendous sadness that we bring you this heartbreaking and devastating news that we have lost yet another member of our Tommy's Place Family. Fourteen year old Riley Grace Botto has earned her angel wings after a courageous battle with this horrific monster. Riley and her family and friends were scheduled to visit with us this week in Centerville so this news is especially devastating.

Riley Grace Botto born April 11, 2012 passed peacefully but far too soon on Friday, August 14, 2026.

She is the loving and cherished daughter of Ryan and Jill (Webb) Botto of Halifax, and the beloved granddaughter of Robert and Kathryn Botto of Halifax and Billy and Diane Ruxton of Halifax.

She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.

Riley loved vacationing at the beach in the summer, especially in the Carolinas. She loved snuggling with her favorite pets Beau, Peanut, Reese and Dougie.

She was a talented softball player and proud member of the Halifax Girls Softball team, which she loved. She was an accomplished dancer for 10 years, and had a love for pickles and a sweet tooth for ice cream and brownies. Riley loved skiing in the winter and paddleboarding, boating and swimming in her pool in the summer. These were the simple joys that brought her joy before her time was cut far too short by a battle she fought with incredible determination and strength.

Riley was sweet, loving, kind and funny with a beautiful spirit that touched everyone around her. She was always smiling and caring for those around her, she will not be forgotten.

“O God of all comfort, bring quietness and calm to hearts worried about what the day may bring.”

We will never stop fighting to give these special kids the comfort and fun they deserve. Riley did not choose or deserve to be in this fight. She deserved to be a kid just like all of the other kids her age.

Rest easy Riley and go peacefully to join your other Tommy's Place friends in a place where there is no more pain...

At Tommy's Place, you will never be forgotten Riley Grace Botto!

In this little corner of the United States we have lost over 50 superhero kids who either stayed with us or were on our waiting list since beginning this journey just 5 years ago.
This is all so very wrong and so, so unfair to these innocent kids and their brave families.
Please say a big, huge prayer for Riley, and her mom and dad Jill and Ryan.

We will never stop fighting for all of you and your special families!

A great big hello and welcome to our new Tommy's Place friend Andrew! Andrew and his family and friends stayed with us at Tommy's Place in Falmouth!

Andrew's mom in her own words...

"We are so grateful to Tim and Tommy's Place for the amazing opportunity you gave us! We got to spend precious time with Andrew and take a break from the hospital, insurance company, and pharmacy that has become our daily reality. Andrew has been fighting anaplastic ependymoma in his brain and spine since 2022 with multiple surgeries, rounds of radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and clinical trials. Four years of fighting cancer has resulted in significant fatigue but his energy picked up while at Tommy's Place! He spent time reading in the cozy library, swimming in the warm pool, and playing board games with family in the comfy game room. It was incredible to see the joy on his face after all he has been through! We were so impressed by the creative detail of the house and found something new each day! The week refreshed and reset us all so we can keep battling cancer! We are overwhelmed by your generosity!"
