Austin Area Quilt Guild The AAQG is dedicated to promoting excellence & education and preserving the heritage of quilting. The purpose of the guild is threefold:
A.

The guild is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. To foster appreciation of quilts and the art of quilting among both quilters and the public;
B. To increase the knowledge of traditional and contemporary techniques of quilting and
to provide an encouraging environment in which quilters can practice and e

xchange
ideas; and
C. To educate the public as to the significance and history of quilting as an art form as well
as an ongoing craft.

Also, you can qualify as a Super Volunteer if you work at least one shift on at least four different days of show week. Super Volunteers get:
—Free admission to the show
—Your choice of eight quarter-yard cuts of fabric
—Commemorative Show Pin
—Our lasting gratitude and appreciation

Baby Bundles dropped off 30 quilts to Mom’s Place, a Travis County agency that helps new moms with lactation and helps them to raise healthy babies. They are always so appreciative of the quilts we provide.

The Austin Area Quilt Guild’s Baby Bundles program delivered 45 quilts to The Healthy Families program of Travis County today. Fatima Smith is the caseworker who collects these donations for the program. She was all smiles and so appreciative of all the quilts they receive. Fatima is planning to visit our evening meeting on April 13th, stop by the Baby Bundles table and say hello.
