☀️ Summer Compassion Campaign | First Deadline is June 8th ahead of the THRA Participant Town Hall

The Rahma Project x Texas Harm Reduction Alliance
Austin heat can be dangerous for our unhoused neighbors. The Rahma Project has the unique personnel capacity to take this funding and directly prepare hygienic and nutritional support, donations remain the tool to expand our shared capacity!

This summer, we are coming together to provide halal meals, hygiene kits, cooling towels, and essential care directly to those in need.

Every donation becomes something tangible: a meal, relief from the heat, or supplies that restore dignity.
Donate today and help us put mercy into action.

April Marked Sexual Assault Awareness Month and as our growing team began growing familiar with the challenging intersectional work we take on, THRA was honored to host Alyson Grider, LCSW.

Aly took on two days to intensively and foundationally train our team on the elements of transformative and abolitionist justice focused interventions and solidarity. This amounted to a careful consideration of where we can foster both a workspace!

Follow for more details and we encourage you to consider Aly for a future training for your organization!

Last Tuesday, on May 5th THRA and VOCAL-TX Staff spoke truth to elected power at city hall concerning the Agenda Item #: B2 in the work session presented as the Briefing regarding operational modifications within Homeless Strategies and Operations.

The plan as outlined, states that a calculated increase in HSO city funded sweeps of unhoused individuals begins today, May 11th. We are under the awareness that State DPS forces are engaging in separate police lead sweeps already within the city’s jurisdiction. HSO sweeps will be also be accompanied by APD despite there being little to no capacity and bandwidth in their staffing to support daily sweeps as outlined by HSO.
Listen in and learn from our THRA staff on specifically how these HSO practices will only increase the burden on city services, provide a limited, incomplete solutions for residents calling HSO about unhoused individuals.
