Treatment doesn't end. Neither does support. 💗

For someone living with metastatic breast cancer, treatment is ongoing. So is BCRC's support: the IV League, our support group for people living with metastatic breast cancer, a group for those 45 and younger, private online forums, an annual Mets Retreat, and a patient navigator who stays through every scan and every change in treatment.

That's the Lifeline Society: people giving monthly so BCRC can be there all year, for whoever needs it next. There's no "right" amount. Some Lifeliners give $10 a month, some give more.

Join by December 31 and you'll be a Founding Member. bcrc.org/lifeline-society

There is power in coming together! In honor of Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, 13 BCRC clients and 2 Patient Navigators gathered for lunch, fellowship, and support, celebrating the camaraderie and community that help carry us through life's challenges. "I was done doing everything I could to fight the cancer, but now what?" 💗

Michelle wrote that for our blog after her treatment ended. The support she needed most, she said, came afterward. A BCRC support group gave her hope and the feeling that she was not in it alone.

Twenty-three local businesses, teams, and groups are now hosting Community Fundraising Events for BCRC this month, with new ones added this week: a pit bull meet-up, a pink-out week, live thrift auctions, and a walk for hope. Every one of them helps keep our services free.

Follow-up scans. The waiting. A body that feels different. Going back to work while everyone assumes you're "back to normal."

This week we're talking about life after treatment, and about the part nobody warns you about: the support you need doesn't end when the appointments do. Your navigator stays, through survivorship and whatever comes next. So do our support groups, Compass Crew, and the resources you still need.
