Some of the most meaningful moments happen when we simply show up, listen, and spend time together.

Our board’s recent visit to Cambodia was a chance to step into the everyday life of our schools, reconnect with our team, and experience firsthand the passion of our teachers and the energy of our students.

Being on the ground keeps our work personal. It strengthens the connection between those who support our mission and the communities who bring it to life every day.

Every one of us can name a teacher who changed the course of our life. The one who saw something in us before we saw it in ourselves.

This back-to-school season, we're asking you to say thank you to that teacher, by giving a Cambodian teacher the same chance to change lives.

For nearly 22 years, Cambodia has been rebuilding an education system devastated by the Khmer Rouge, who destroyed 90% of the country's schools and banished or executed its teachers. Caring for Cambodia trains the teachers now leading that rebuilding, work recognized by Cambodia's own Minister of Education as “the standard for education in Cambodia.”

We’re honored to welcome celebrated Cambodian recording artist Nov Sinoeun (នៅ ស៊ីនឿន) to the stage at our 4th Annual Gala of Hope: Caring in the Midst of Change this October 17th.

As a Rasmey Hang Meas Production recording artist, Sinoeun’s music has reached audiences across generations, and we are so excited to have the sounds and culture of Cambodia represented during this special evening.
